TL;DR

Collection ads combine a cover image/video with a grid of product images below. When tapped, they open an Instant Experience (full-screen mobile shopping experience) showcasing your products. Collection ads require a product catalogue connected to your ad account. They are mobile-only and designed for e-commerce product discovery and shopping.

Prerequisites

A product catalogue set up in Commerce Manager. At least 4 products in the catalogue. Mobile-optimised website or app for the final purchase step.

Step-by-Step Guide

Follow these 3 steps to complete this guide

  1. 1

    How Collection Ads Work

Users see a cover image or video in their feed with 4 product images below. Tapping opens a full-screen Instant Experience with more products, descriptions, and prices. Users can browse and click through to your website to purchase.

  2. 2

    Setup

Create a Sales or Traffic campaign. At the ad level, choose Collection format. Select an Instant Experience template (Instant Storefront is best for most e-commerce). Choose your cover media (video recommended). Select which product set to feature. Meta automatically populates products.

  3. 3

    Best Practices

Use video as your cover for higher engagement. Feature your best-selling products. Ensure product images are high quality and consistent. The Instant Experience should load fast and make purchasing easy.
