TL;DR

Meta Business Suite has two main access levels: Full Control (can manage everything including settings and people) and Partial Access (can only access specific assets with assigned roles). For each asset (ad account, Page, pixel), you can assign Admin or Analyst-level permissions. Always give the minimum access needed, maintain at least two people with Full Control, and review permissions quarterly.

Step-by-Step Guide

Follow these 4 steps to complete this guide

  1. 1

    Access Levels

**Full Control:** Can manage all assets, settings, billing, and people. Reserve for business owners and senior managers. Always have at least two people with this access. **Partial Access:** Can only access assets explicitly assigned to them. Choose which ad accounts, Pages, and pixels they can access, and whether they have Admin or Analyst permissions on each.

  2. 2

    Asset-Level Roles

**Ad Account Admin:** Can create and manage campaigns, change settings, manage billing. **Ad Account Analyst:** Can view reports but cannot create or edit campaigns. **Page Admin:** Can create posts, respond to messages, manage settings. **Page Analyst:** Can view insights but cannot post or manage.

  3. 3

    Adding People

Go to Business Settings > People > Invite People. Enter their email (must be associated with a Facebook account). Assign access level and specific asset permissions. They receive an email invitation to accept.

  4. 4

    Agency Access

If an agency manages your ads, grant them Partner access to your ad account rather than adding individuals. Go to Business Settings > Partners > Add. Enter the agency's Business ID. Assign ad account access. The agency can then manage your campaigns through their own Business Suite.
